2010 Are you ready to Roll The Dice?

I LOVE this Poem.  It reminds me so vividly of my thoughts on the word “TRY”.  I have used that word way more that I’d like to admit and I want to erase it from my vocabulary.  HOWEVER, in this poem perhaps it can have a differnet meaning.  My favorite line is ” You’ll be alone with the Gods and the nights will flame with fire”. Take a moment and read it out loud to yourself. Maybe post it on the refrigerator or your bathroom mirror. Remind yourself of where you are and where you want to be….roll the dice.

Roll the Dice

If your gonna try go all the way otherwise don’t even start

This could mean losing girlfriends, wives, relatives, jobs and maybe your mind

It could mean not eating for three or four days
It could mean freezing on a park bench
It could mean jail
It could mean derision
It could mean mockery
Isolation
Isolation….. it’s a gift.
All the others are a test of your endurance of how much you really want to do it
And you will do it
Despite Rejection and the worst odds
And it will be better than anything else you can imagine
If you’re going to try
Go all the way. There’s no other feeling like that
You’ll be alone with the Gods and the nights will flame with fire.
